woolly bugger
Definition
(Noun) A lure used in fly fishing. It resembles a leech or large nymph and is fished by drifting it underwater, especially in streams where the current imparts lifelike movement to the fly's feathers.Usage: If the angler does not see flies hatching or fish feeding on the surface, a good bet is to fish underwater with a woolly bugger.
